A preview will be held for 3-year-olds and up Illinois-bred horses on Wednesday, May 13 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. The total purse payout for the day will be $57,000. A preview for 2-year-old Illinois-bred horses will be held on Thursday, June 11 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. The total purse payout will be $38,000. Entry fees for Springfield-based trainers will be $50 for purse races and $35 for qualifiers. Entry fees for non-Springfield-based trainers will be $65 for purse races and $50 for qualifiers. Post time for both days is 11 a.m.
Qualifiers will be held on both days after the purse races if needed. Entry fees must still be paid for scratched horses. All scratches must be reported to the race office in a timely manner. All horses need a negative Coggins within one year and EHV vaccine within six months. If possible, please send these ahead of entry date using one of the following options:
