Important news for SRF Visa card holders

from the Standardbred Retirement Foundation

Millstone Twp., NJ — The Standardbred Retirement Foundation Capitol One Visa credit card has benefitted the mission with support from cardholders whose charges generated a financial gift from Capitol One to the non-profit. As of June 17, this card no longer produces these financial rewards for SRF.

The Capitol One Visa card accounts will remain open and cardholders will receive information on the change in the rewards. The conversion will be complete by the end of 2014.

With the new non-SRF card, cardholders wishing to continue to support in a similar way may choose to donate the rewards they will receive by going to Capitol One’s “The No Hassle Giving Site.” Many credit card companies now offer the same opportunity to donate the rewards earned from a Visa, or MasterCard, to an organization.

SRF appreciates the financial help received from supporters who chose to help this way and is sorry to lose this opportunity that has helped to feed the 167 Stanadardbred horses in need of homes. Without being provided with the list of supporters, SRF is unable to contact each one individually.

SRF is commemorating 25 years of helping horses, and kids. An average of 170 horses are under the complete care of the organization on a daily basis, all in need of a place to live out their lives. Some 112 are expected to remain with SRF until they pass due to age or injuries. To make a tax-deductible gift, adopt, or sponsor a horse in need please go to www.Adoptahorse.org or e-mail admin@srf.com.
