Important notice regarding OSS #41 yearling nominations

from the Ontario Racing Commission

Toronto, ON — The changing circumstance in Ontario horse racing has impacted the Ontario Sires Stakes Program Administrator’s ability to issue nomination forms and conditions to meet the May 15 nomination deadline.

To provide sufficient time to plan, the Board of the Ontario Racing Commission authorized an extension to the May 15 deadline. The Program Administrator will be meeting with the Standardbred Improvement Program Advisory Group later this week to discuss the program for OSS #41 (racing in 2013 and 2014) and make a determination on the new nomination deadline.

By end of day on May 11, 2012, the Program Administrator will issue a communiqué regarding the outcome of these discussions.

In the meantime, the Program Administrator will continue to receive nominations to OSS #41.

In absence of a nomination form, the name of the yearling should be itemized. In the normal fashion, checks should be made payable to the Ontario Sires Stakes and sent to the ORC.

It is strongly recommended that payments be sent by registered mail.

Questions regarding the Ontario Sires Stakes should be directed to: Karen Hauver, OSS Administration Coordinator, 519.369.3545, e-mail: records@ontariosiresstakes.com or website: www.ontariosiresstakes.com.
