Independence Day live racing at Tioga and Vernon

Nicholas, NY — Tioga Downs and Vernon Downs will both celebrate America’s independence with live racing on Thursday (July 4).

Tioga will race a matinee card beginning at 1 p.m. A New York Sires Stakes for 2-year-old filly trotters is the day’s highlight along with filly and mare pacing races. The condition sheet is posted on the internet and the box closes at 9 a.m. on Sunday (June 30). The Race Office may be reached at 607.699.7688. There will be no Friday live card at Tioga this week; racing will resume on Saturday and Sunday.

Vernon will race an evening overnight card that begins at the standard post time of 6:10 p.m. The box for this card will close at 9 a.m. on Saturday (June 29). The condition sheet is available here. Vernon will have racing on Friday and Saturday, constituting a three-day live racing week. The Race Office number is 315.829.6825.
