Secretary Douglas Fisher, Assemblyman Ron Dancer and the other board members in attendance were given a tour of the unique state-of-the-art equine medical facility at Hogan Equine by internationally-renowned equine surgeon, Patricia Hogan, VMD. The group had the opportunity to see some racehorses recovering from recent surgeries Hogan had performed.

After enjoying refreshments and pastries, provided by the SBOANJ, the NJDA board members and other attendees took another tour, this time of Fair Winds Farm’s breeding facility, during which they were able to get up close and personal with a mare and her foal.

All in all the event was a successful one, as the NJDA was given another perspective on horse racing in New Jersey.
