Plainville, MA – Following two narrow defeats in his last two starts at The Meadowlands, It’s In The Stars made his return to Plainridge Park after a two month absence, a winning one in the featured $22,000 upper-level conditioned pace on Tuesday (Nov. 3).

It’s In The Stars (Brett Beckwith) sat second and watched PA Luke (Bruce Ranger) bolt to the lead and set fractions of :27.1, :55.2 and 1:22.2, with only Jackson Cooper (Nick Graffam) making a mild bid from behind to track down the leader. But that rush fell short as PA Luke entered the last turn ahead by two lengths and was looking very strong. However he was far from home because at the top of the lane, It’s In The Stars veered off the pegs and started making up ground quickly in the middle of the track and moved to the lead by a length and won in 1:49.4, which was a new seasonal mark.
It was the fourth win of the year for It’s In The Stars ($7.80), who is owned by Pollock Racing and trained by Enrico Robinson.
There were also two $19,000 conditioned paces on the card.
The first was won by JL’s Rock Star (Kyle Swift), who moved third-over from fifth behind Instant Replay (Nick Graffam) who was in pursuit of the front-running Forward Look (Wally Watson). Instant Replay cleared at three-quarters and JL’s Rock Star moved three-wide in the turn and was flying. At the top of the stretch, JL’s Rock Star cleared the front and pulled away by three lengths and won in a seasonal best, 1:51.2.

JL’s Rock Star ($42.40) is trained and co-owned by Brian Lamb, in partnership with Eddie Fournier Jr.
The second went to Swifty Run (Matty Athearn) who sat second behind Montana GB (Nick Graffam) who cut quarters of :27.2, :55.3 and 1:23 to three-quarters. It was there that Swifty Run came out to battle with Montana GB all through the final turn and into the stretch. The tussle continued all the way down the lane until Swifty Run got up in the shadow of the wire and won in 1:51.1, which matched his seasonal best.
Swifty Run ($5.40) is owned by John Barnard and trained by Irwin Rosenthal.
Nick Graffam led all drivers with three wins while Laura Shock was top trainer with two wins to her credit.
Racing will resume at Plainridge Park on Thursday (Nov. 5) at 1 p.m. and there will be a $34,765 carryover in the Wicked Hi-5 pentafecta wager in the sixth race.
