Columbus, OH — James “Jay” Picciano, 56, a longtime driver/trainer, died over the weekend after suffering a heart attack.
At the time of his death, Mr. Picciano was working for trainer Chuck Sylvester.
In his career as a driver, he posted 944 wins and his mounts banked more than $6.75 million. He also added 57 wins as a trainer, with his pupils recording $776,406 in winnings.
