Columbus, MN – Brady Jenson piloted his own trainee, Spiritofanoutlaw, to a 22-1 upset in the Running Aces Tuesday (Aug. 19) feature race to notch his 500th career driving win.
Jenson (29) is the defending Aces driving and training champion from 2024 and currently sits third in the 2025 driver standings and first in the current trainer standings.
The Iowa native has been a staple at Running Aces since he began his driving career back in 2015. He has really stepped up his game over the last five years and in 2024 posted his best season to date with 147 wins and over $1.1 million in purses.

The milestone win came in the $15,500 Open Handicap pace where he worked out a prefect trip for Spiritofanoutlaw ($47.20) and surged past pacesetter and favorite He’zzz A Wise Sky late to post a new career mark of 1:51.3 for the 4-year-old son of Western Trademark.
The winner is also owned by Jenson.

Starstruck Fool (Scott Cisco, $4.60) led every step and held gamely by a nose over Sparklinchardonnay (Rick Magee) in a fierce battle to the wire in the $15,000 freshman fillies ‘A’ pace in 1:58 with Mary Tyler Mare (Billy Mann) a close third.
It was the fifth win in seven starts with two seconds for the impressive daughter of Karpathian Kid who is owned by Jeri and Briar Roland and trained by Lino Pacheco.
Set Free (Rick Magee, $3.20) completed a gate-to-wire score by a nose in the $15,000 freshman colts ‘A’ pace in 1:56.3 over Wild About Me (Jenson) and Whatevrittakes Two (Luke Plano) for his fifth win in eight career starts for the son of Three Of Clubs, owned by Jesse De Long, Ken Stauffer and Stephanie Anfinson and trained by Justin Anfinson.
The other freshman winners on the program included SV Shining Star (Rick Magee, $9.80) in the $17,500 filly trot in 2:01.4, SV Rough And Tough (Chad Svendsen, $5.60) in the $17,500 colt trot in 2:00.4, Not A Bluff (Brian Detgen, $13.40) in the $10,000 filly ‘B’ pace in 2:02.2 and Wannatalkaboutmeme (Mooney Svendsen, $3) in the $10,000 colts ‘B’ pace in 1:58.3.
Brady Jenson and Rick Magee both posted driving doubles on the program while Jenson and Justin Anfinson each recorded training doubles.
Live racing returns to Running Aces on Thursday night (Aug. 21) for a 12-race program that will get underway at 6 p.m. (CDT).
