Lebanon, OH — Driver Jeremy Smith picked up his 4,000th career win on Tuesday (Jan. 20) at Miami Valley Raceway when he drove long shot Cruisinoverfire to 1:55 win in a $15,000 conditioned pace.

Sent off at 22-1, Cruisinoverfire and Smith left from post 6 with a host of inside leavers, but they were able to cross over alertly to the lead as even-money favorite Brookview Freddy waited for the early action to settle before brushing up quickly to take command past the :27.2 quarter. With a pocket trip now secured, Smith bided his time while a parked-out Dating A Virgin had no choice but to commit to a long first-over trip from seventh. Past the half in :57.2, Brookview Freddy continued to show the way while Dating A Virgin continued his uphill battle by inching nearer to the leader, eventually coming within a head just past the three-quarters in 1:26. The leaders continued to battle around the last turn and through the stretch as a pinned-in Smith waited patiently, hoping a gap would appear. It did just in time, as leader Brookview Freddy drifted just enough off the pylons for Cruisinoverfire to sneak up the rail and provide Smith with the milestone score.
The 4,000 wins, paired with Smith’s $34 million in purses, help make him one of the top drivers in Ohio. With recent driving titles under his belt, he also finished 2025 with a career high $3.9 million in single-season earnings, and that was all while missing significant time to two injuries.
