JerseyFest returns to Meadowlands on Saturday

East Rutherford, NJ — On Saturday (June 4) award-winning Jersey and Philly food trucks will travel to Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment for JerseyFest Food Truck Mash Up 2016.

Beginning at 3:30 p.m. until 11 p.m, fest-goers will experience an evening of the best live harness racing, music and food the Garden State has to offer. Once again, Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment has partnered with Exposure Events and New Jersey Media Group to sponsor the Food Truck Mash-Up: Jersey vs. Philly.

More than 26 specialty food trucks will participate including Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, TaxiCab Burger, Empanada Guy, The Thai Elephant, Callahan’s Hot Dogs, El Lechon de Negron, The French Quarter, Luke’s Lobster, Polkadot Cupcake Shop, Waffle de Lys, Sanducci’s Wood Fired Pizza, and The Angry Crab from New Jersey, plus The Cow and The Curd, Philly Fry, Pompier Pierogie Flats, Oink & Moo BBQ, Unique Greek Food Truck, PBandU, Dump’N Roll, Mama’s Meatballs, The Flying Pie Guy and Chicken N’Cone of Philadelphia.

Other non-truck food and beverage vendors participating includes Kath’s Catering, Uncle Joe’s Kettle Corn, Wild Bills Soda, Metro Candy Apple, Glazed & Confused, Clyde’s Italian Ice, The Corn Maze, Jersey Girl Smoothies, and Organo Gold.

A VIP admission package is available for $30 exclusively online. The package includes 3:30 p.m. admission, a $2 betting voucher and $5 in Mash-Up cash to redeem at any of the participating food trucks.

The Jersey vs. Philly Food Truck Mash-Up will be held in the Backyard and on the East Apron and will open to the public at 5 p.m. for a $5 general admission at the door. Kids under five will be admitted at no charge and the track will remain open and free to the public before, during and after the festivities. Free parking will also be available and every guest will have the opportunity to pre-register for a $2 betting voucher online.

Ale Street News has sponsored the craft beer from Defiant, Sam Adams, Yuengling, Cricket Hill, Speakeasy, 1911, Doc’s Hard Cider, Blue Moon, Sierra Nevada, and New Belgium which will be available for purchase in the Backyard. Live musical entertainment by Men Of Horses will commence at 4 p.m. until 11 p.m.

On the track, 3-year-old New Jersey Sire Stakes finals highlight the racing action with four races totaling $400,000.
