Jesse’s Touch equals trotting track record in Wauseon

Wauseon, OH — The Fulton County Fair at Wauseon, Ohio, hosted the Northwestern Ohio Colt Racing Association colt and filly stakes on Tuesday night (Sept. 4). The Earl Hallett Memorial Free For All Trot completed the nine-race program.

Jesse’s Touch equaled the overall trotting track record of 1:58.4 in winning the Earl Hallett Memorial Free For All Trot. Ken Phillips, Art Erford, Pete Meyer and Rick Estle own Jesse’s Touch with Tom Moore, Jr. doing the training and driving.

Kim Pluta guided Bejeweled (Feelin Friskie-Lindwood Tiara) to a win in the 2-year-old filly pace. Pluta also trains the filly and co-owns her with Kristy Casagranda. Bejeweled picked up her first lifetime win in 2:04.2.

Emil Konesky’s Trottin On Over (Neely Dunn-Halle Coy) equaled his lifetime best of 2:04.4 in taking the 2-year-old colt trot. Mark Headworth is the trainer-driver of Trottin On Over.

Here Comes Smokey (Stand Forever-Midnight Bonnie) came home first in the 2-year-old colt pace after a mile in 2:13. Greg Bateson drove the colt for owner Ben Ott and trainer Tom Marts, Jr.

Seneca (S J’s Double Take-Photo Op) captured the 2-year-old filly trot in 2:07.1. Larry Lake is the filly’s owner-trainer-driver.

Mark Headworth piloted Screamin Dreamin (Ilooklikemymom-Flowing Judy) to victory in the 3-year-old filly trot. Ray Sugg trains the filly with Amrheinsracingstablellc picking up the bills. Screamin Dreamin toured the Wauseon oval in 2:01.4.

Friskie Flicker (Feelin Friskie-Bydawnearlylite) took the 3-year-old filly pace in 1:58. Greg Bateson drove the filly to a new lifetime mark for trainer John Schuberg. The Floral City Stable is the owner of Friskie Flicker.

Scratch Off (Royal Strength-Im A Cricket Too) picked up a new lifetime mark of 2:04 in winning the 3-year-old colt trot. Jay Weller drove the gelding for owner-trainer Jayne Weller.

Rodney Conner steered Tatas Flash (Memphis Flash-Matata) to a new lifetime mark of 2:01.4 in taking the 3-year-old colt pace. Pam and Michelle Riedeman and Bob Figgins own Tatas Flash with Barbie Conner performing the training duties.

The Northwestern Ohio Colt Racing Association will close out its 2012 season at the Williams County Fair at Montpelier. Racing will take place at Montpelier on Sunday (Sept. 9) at 1 p.m. and Tuesday (Sept. 11) at 6:30 p.m.
