Columbus, OH — Joseph Scorsone, 85, of Chesterfield, N.J., died Sept. 19, 2024, at Serenity Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson-Hamilton.
Born in Rochester, N.Y., he resided in Columbus and Chesterfield, N.J. for the last 45 years. He was a parishioner at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish in Bordentown.
He enjoyed training, driving and racing Standardbreds, landscaping, card games, and billiards. Most of all he loved being with his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Scorsone campaigned the hard hitting free for all pacer Meadow Ro Mar amongst several top horses throughout his career in harness racing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maureen Perfect; children, Greg, Brian, Heidi, Evonne (Harvey) Richardson and Ellery (Patricia) Perfect; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday (Oct. 1) from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Huber-Moore Funeral Home 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown, N.J. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, 45 Crosswicks Road, Bordentown, NJ. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
