Van Wert, OH – The Van Wert County Fair hosted two legs of the Spring Haven Farm Ladies Driving Series this past week.
On Tuesday (Aug. 26), Leslie Joyce steered Black Tilly to victory with a mile in 2:02.1. The leg on Monday (Sept. 1) found Jennifer Main in the winner’s circle with Lying In Cash after a mile in 2:03.1.
Joyce continues to lead the 20 lady drivers with 416 points. Main sits in second place with 379 points while Christina Johnson occupies the third slot with 326 points.
The ladies have three more opportunities to gain points leading up to the final at the Delaware County Fair in Delaware, OH, on Sunday (Sept. 14).
Points are available in two races at the Williams County Fair in Montpelier, OH, on Wednesday (Sept. 10), as that fair hosts both a trotting race and a pacing race in the series. Post time for the first race is 1 p.m. at Montpelier.
The Wyandot County Fair in Upper Sandusky, OH, holds the pacing race only later that same day. Post time for the first race at Upper Sandusky is 5 p.m. Some of the ladies may race at both fairs in order to accumulate points.
