Freehold, NJ – Julius W. Molnar, Jr., 88, of Matawan, N.J., passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Raritan Bay Medical Center.
Born in New Jersey, Julius was a proud and dedicated member of Local Union #9 for plumbers and pipefitters before his retirement. Known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his trade, he earned the respect of many throughout his career.
Outside of work, Julius had a passion for the racetrack and was an owner and trainer of Standardbred racehorses. He also found great joy in gardening, tending to his plants with the same care and attention he gave to everything in life.
Julius was predeceased by his beloved parents, Julius Molnar Sr. and Anna Molnar; loving wife Evelyn Molnar; his daughter Deborah; his sister Ann Stopkowitz; and his brother George Molnar. He leaves behind his cherished daughter Laurie and her partner Paul, and his dear sister Jean Boysen, along with extended family and friends who will remember him fondly.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, July 17, from 5 p.m to 8 p.m. at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold, N.J. Entombment will be at Forest Green Park Cemetery in Morganville, N.J. on Friday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m.
