July 13 Pick-8 hit at Scioto

Columbus, OH – The elusive one-dollar Pick-8 boasted a track record payout of $72,643.50 to a single ticket on Wednesday (July 13) at Eldorado Scioto Downs.

The Pick-8 wager is unique to Eldorado Scioto Downs. With 45 days of racing complete, eight winning tickets have been played this season.

“It’s been fun to see the excitement and energy that the new wager has provided on the daily basis,” said Gabe Prewitt, Caesars director of racing. “The pool has accelerated in the last week, leading to a record amount of almost $19,000 of new money being put into play today.”

The one-dollar Pick-8 will return tomorrow guaranteed at $25,000 through a partnership between Scioto Downs and the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association (OHHA). The wager has a 15 percent takeout and is not a jackpot wager. If not hit, it will have a 50 percent carryover net pool into the following day with a 50 percent consolation payout.
