Kel Forever takes feature at Delaware

Delaware, OH — Kel Forever (Tyler Smith) rallied late to edge Bristle Ridge Bob (Jack Dailey) by a head to take the $7,500 New Century Series event for 2-year-old colt pacers on Tuesday (Sept. 21) at the Delaware County Fair.

Franchise Attack (Jeff Nisonger) was sent to the early lead and blazed the fractions of :27 and :56.4. Bristle Ridge Bob was the first to challenge the leader and stuck a head in front past the three-quarters in 1:26.3. Smith sent the eventual winner past the fading leaders in the deep stretch to break his maiden.

The Stand Forever gelding is owned by Peggy Warren and is conditioned by Lee Newcomer.

This Sands Hot takes Signature Series trot final

This Sands Hot (John Konesky III) took the early lead, controlled the fractions and cruised to victory in the $5,000 Signature Series Final for older trotters.

The 7-year-old gelded son of Sand Chaser is owned by Maryann Konesky. This Sands Hot won for the 47th time in 130 career starts.

Clara G and Tuesday win on Tuesday

Clara G (Tyler Smith) won the first division of the $8,600 New Century Series for sophomore filly pacers in 1:57 over CB Sammie Suit (Chris Page).

Clara G is owned by Billy Sizemore and trainer Timothy Sizemore. The Precious Bunny filly scored for the 12th time in 18 seasonal starts.

The well named Tuesday won the second division of the 3-year-old filly pace in a lifetime best 1:56.1.

Tuesday is owned and trained by Herb LeVan.

Held Tory is fastest in New Century Series 2-year-old filly trot

Held Tory (Jim Larrabee) took the fastest of the two divisions of the New Century Series for 2-year-old filly trotters over Jessie Ann (Dan Noble) in 2:04.3.

Skiptomylumydarlin (Don Spencer) took the first division in 2:05.2 for Michael Swatzel.
