Kenneth Rumble Jr., 58, dies

Columbus, OH — Kenneth A. Rumble Jr., 58, died April 26, 2016.

He was born Sept. 5, 1957, in Batavia, N.Y., a son of the late Kenneth and Arlene Stegman Rumble Sr.

Mr. Rumble was an avid harness racing fan for most of his life, and even ventured into actual ownership of some race horses for the last four years. He was very proud of his stable name, Thatsideofthefence, LLC. His top pacing mare, Memumsnotnice, was named mare of the meet by the Upstate New York Chapter of the United States Harness Writers Association during its night of distinction at Batavia Downs last December.

He also thoroughly enjoyed family trips and vacations.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lucinda “Cindy” Wolcott Rumble; children, Roger (Katie) and Nikki (Gary) Hopkins; grandchildren, Connor Moran, Cora, Violet, Logan Hopkins and baby girl Hopkins; longtime dear friends, Dale and Florence Ford and their children, Jackie and Danni Ford; father-in-law, Roger Wolcott; brothers-in-law, Matt Wolcott, Kenny Wolcott and Jon Wolcott; sisters-in-law, Ann (Tim) Smith, Lois (Mike) Gordon and Lynn (Dale) Leslie; uncle, Lester Stegman; aunts, Joan Rumble and Joyce Rumble; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Linda Wolcott.

Services will be private at the convenience of his family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for distribution to charities of their choice.
