Yonkers, NY — Owner-driver Scott Keppler enjoyed his best night in the sulky when he won both $10,000 North American Amateur Drivers Association Trotting Series events on Thursday (July 28) at Yonkers Raceway winning with Judge Ken in 1:58.2 and Fun Time Charlie in 2:00.2.

In the first contest, Keppler sent Judge Ken to the lead and they raced unchallenged throughout, passing the first quarter in :29.1 and the half in :59.4. Tony Verruso had Winneress close from the pocket throughout, but José Godinez trainee Judge Ken opened up a two-length lead turning for home and maintained it to the wire. Winneress was second; Jekyll N Hyde finished third for Nicole Dicostanzo.

Keppler used the same front-end tactics in the second division, guiding Steven Moore trainee Fun Time Charlie to an easy wire-to-wire victory. Verruso took up the chase again, this time with Call Me Thefireman, but could do no better than to follow the leader to the finish line, 1-3/4 lengths behind. The Big Muscle finished third for Tony Ciuffetelli.
