Vincennes, FR — €310,000 was the top price at the Prix d’Amerique-sale held over two days in France.
The 4-year-old trotter Knockonwood, sired by Ready Cash was entered by trainer Phillippe Allaire and was sold to the Ecurie du Mont Joly.
Knockonwood has raced 14 times, has a mark of 1:54.2 (mile rate) and earnings of €123,060.
He is already approved as a stallion in 2025 but limited to 60 mares.
The second highest price was €170,000, who Ecurie J P Raffegeau paid for the 3-year-old filly Liza Josselyn, sired by Love You. She is in fact entered to race today (Saturday, January 27) at Vincennes in the Prix de Roquepine with Björn Goop in the bike.
€130,000 was the third highest price paid by the Danish stable, Panamera Racing for the broodmare, Anna Mix in foal to Italiano Vero.
Anna Mix, who was one of the best mares in Europe at a time and among her wins was the European Championship for mares.
The plan is to breed her to Walner this year.
The average price at the sale went down 4.26% to €21,920 and only 54.55% of the horses who went through the ring was sold.
