Last Bet a convincing front-end winner in Meadows feature

Washington, PA — Parked the entire opening panel, Last Bet still had plenty in the tank to score convincingly in Wednesday’s feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $13,400 claiming handicap pace.

The even-money favorite, Last Bet wrested the early lead from Western Perch. The pair raced that way through the wire, with Last Bet prevailing in 1:52. Golden Gesture was a ground-saving third.

Aaron Merriman and Wrenn each collected three wins on the 12-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Thursday (June 8), when the 12-race program features a $1,124.17 carryover in the Early Pentafecta (race 4). First post is 12:45 p.m.
