Columbus, MN — Live harness racing is back for another year at Running Aces Casino & Racetrack on Saturday (May 19). Opening night will have action-packed live racing and give race fans the chance to watch and wager on the Preakness Stakes.

Running Aces offers a family friendly environment for all ages with free admission and the fast-paced, up-close action of the horses. Tin Whiskers will be onsite as the featured MN vendor for the evening. Stick around after the races to enjoy live music in Trout Air Tavern from Vinnie Rose.

Daily specials throughout the race season include:

Tuesday Dollar Night

• $1 hot dogs, chips, sodas, bets, programs and Trout Pond pole rentals
• $2 Miller Lite draft

Saturday Keep It Local Night

• $5 local beer, wine and cocktails
• $6.50 house smoked pulled pork sandwich served with chips

Sunday Pepsi Family Night

• Kids coloring contest, face painting and free trout pond rentals for kids
• $4 Michelob Golden Light draft
• $5.50 Walking Tacos

Running Aces’ race season will run from May 19–Sept. 15. Horse racing fans can get close to the action with races every Tuesday (7 p.m. post time), Saturday and Sunday (6 p.m. post time).

In addition to live racing, Running Aces offers 24/7 gaming excitement that includes the state’s newest game, $1 Blackjack, Trout Air’s “Pond to Plate” Fishing Experience and featured community events throughout the season. Trout Air Tavern is the featured restaurant and bar within Running Aces and has a Minnesota inspired menu, a wide-array of local beers, wines and spirits, as well as live music every Saturday night after the races and events throughout the summer.

Running Aces offers free admission and parking every day, an outdoor concession stand and beer truck, along with reserved seating for group outing options.
