Harrington, DE –– Thursday’s Harrington Raceway program was a longshot player’s dream as five races had winners that paid in excess of $40 to win. Russell and Elaine MacKinnon’s Cape Gabarus set the tone in the first race when driver Wayne Truitt piloted him to a win in 1:562, paying $42 on top. That handsome payoff was followed by two even better with Michael Baio and Victor Venturena’s Falcor N (Eddie Davis) paying $85.20 to win in race three and Tyler Stillings’ Gogosaflyin ($82.60) in race five. Russell Wright, Jr.’s Jimmy Jackjoe ($42.60) won the eighth race, before the biggest bomb of the night in the 12th race when Dazzling Fashion lit up the board at $127.40 for owner Oscar Thornton. Only three of 15 races were won by favorites. Racing resumes Sunday with a 5:30 p.m. post time.
