Dover, DE — Lord Terror took the lead just after the start and then bid farewell to seven pursuers to win the $20,000 male claiming allowance pace at Dover Downs on Sunday (Jan. 26). Hall of Famer Ron Pierce drove four winners.

Vic Kirby drove Lord Terror, the Bill Emmons-owned Western Terror-Cheryl Hanover gelding, to an uncontested 1:51.2 victory in the feature race. Cash Cab (Trace Tetrick) finished second with Hasty Western (Allan Davis) rolling along the passing lane to take third.

In his eight Dover starts, Lord Terror has won four, with a second and two thirds.

One race earlier, Ron Pierce steered Hillbilly Kid to an open length, 1:52.3 triumph in a Delaware $9,500 pace. On The Horizon (Kirby) was runner-up. Champion’s Club (Chris Page) was the show finisher.

In addition to Pierce driving four wins, Allan Davis, Chris Page and breeder Virginia Louthan had two wins each.
