Lovino Bello won by open lengths, followed by Italian trotter Far West with Roberto Vecchione, who was timed in 1.53.1.

In Sweden, 8-year-old Oracle Tile (sired by Ready Cash) won the Axevallalöppning over 1-5/8 mile in a very convincing time of 1.54.2f (mile rate) and earned himself a spot in the Aaby World Grand Prix on August 10th , with a purse for the winner of $565,000.
