Low Inside to step up into NYSS at Buffalo Raceway

Hamburg, NY — After winning a pair of $20,000 Excelsior Series races, Low Inside will step up on Wednesday afternoon (July 17) at Buffalo Raceway and tries his luck in the $106,300 New York Sire Stakes for the 2-year-old colt and gelding trotters.

Low Inside (Devious Man-Nowerland Kristen) romped to a 4-1/2 length decision on June 24 at Saratoga and followed that up with a 1-3/4 length win in 1:58 at Vernon Downs on July 4. So with the back-to-back victories in his two lifetime starts, the natural progression is to step up and see what happens against tougher competition. Dan Daley trains and will steer Low Inside from the three hole.

Another entrant fresh off a victory in the Excelsior Series is BJM’s Lil Man (Devious Man-Vixen). Conditioned by John Berger, BJM’s Lil Man torched the field on July 4 at Vernon Downs by capturing a 10-length victory in 1:56.4. He’ll get the rail at Buffalo Raceway with Tyler Buter listed as the driver.

A trio of participants have been involved in the Sire Stakes but haven’t found much luck quite yet.

Karinchak (Chapter Seven-Sianna Hanover), Security Code S (Chapter Seven-Queen Paige) and local entrant El Commando (E L Titan-Mia Stellina) have all dipped their hoofs into the NYSS pool and hope this race will jump start their season and careers.

Others in the race, scheduled for the seventh on the 11-race card, include Banksy Monkey (Chapter Seven-Steamy Windows) and Magic Brilliance (E L Titan-Alana’s Brilliance).

There will also be a pair of $20,000 brackets of the Excelsior Series with the program set to begin at 2:30 p.m.

It’s the last week of live racing at Buffalo Raceway. The track has added Sunday (July 21) to the schedule with a special post time on closing day at noon. There will also be afternoon racing on Wednesday and Friday at 2:30 p.m. with the last evening program set for Saturday at 6 p.m. to close out the 2024 campaign.
