Hastings, MI – Jennifer Main, who has been on a roll lately at Northville Downs at Barry Expo Center in Hastings, MI, captured race three on the Wednesday (Oct 1) program, being chased home by fellow lady driver Lauren Harmon to complete the all-lady driver exacta, a first at the track.
Solar (Father Patrick – Jupiter), owned by Sally Wadsworth and trained and driven by Jennifer Main, went coast-to-coast in the race.

Meanwhile, Lauren Harmon, who owns/trains/drives Emerald Chip (Chip Chip Hooray – Emerald Myway) and recently joined the Northville driver colony on a more regular basis, got away fourth but was shuffled to sixth and was locked in for most of the mile.
When the field turned for home, Main peaked over her shoulder and didn’t see anyone coming. When they came through the stretch, Harmon shook loose and Emerald Chip was storming home late causing Main to look back again to see who was coming.
“I didnt know who shook loose late because I didn’t see anyone coming last I looked,” Main said. “Then when I saw it was her, I thought that was pretty cool.
“I told her ‘Nice job, Lauren'”, added Main.
In addition to her recent driving success at the Hastings, MI oval, including two consecutive all-time track records with Two Birds Onestone, Jennifer received a promotion from her ‘P’ (provisional) driver’s license to her ‘Full’ driver’s license from the MGCB and USTA.
Also on the Wednesday program, driver Kody Massey had five driving wins to lead all drivers on the day. Trainers Paul Cloer, Jr, Kody Massey, and Gerald Malady each had two wins Wednesday.
Racing at Northville Downs at Barry Expo Center in Hastings, MI returns next Tuesday (Oct. 7) and Wednesday (Oct. 8) with a first post time of 1 p.m. each day.
