Middletown, DE — Starting on Thursday (June 26) through Saturday (June 28) there were 16 Grand Circuit events contested. From The Meadows to Woodbine Mohawk Park to Yonkers and then The Meadowlands. The competition is heating up along with the blistering temps.
The Fourth of July holiday week promises to bring more exciting and competitive events, starting with the Zweig events at Vernon Downs for trotters. On the night of fireworks, the “Kindergarten” babies start off their careers at The Meadowlands in leg one. Followed by the Graduate finals on Saturday, along with the eliminations for the Meadowlands Pace.
At the Historic Goshen track on Saturday and Sunday the Landmark stakes will take place in conjunction with the “Great American Weekend” created by the Goshen Chamber of Commerce. The yearly Hall of Fame inductions at the Harness Racing Museum starting at 5:00 p.m. Sunday evening are not to be missed.
