Marjorca made the lead after the quarter mile mark in :27 seconds, while Feeling Sweet sat second toward a half-mile in :55.3. Incaseyoudidntknow closed ground late to finish third. It was the fourth win of the season for Davis-trainee Majorca, an 8-year-old Art Major mare.
On the undercard, Let It Ride Stables’ Dewitt For Josie ($2.10, Corey Callahan) was a runaway winner in 1:52 in a $13,000 conditioned pace, her second straight win for trainer Mike Hall. The 4-year-old daughter of Sportswriter won her second straight race and was part of a driving triple for Callahan.
Russell Foster, who is closing in on 2000 career wins, also had three wins, joining Ross Wolfenden as a trio of drivers with a hat trick. Montrell Teague and Art Stafford Jr. each had a pair of driving wins.
Live racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule with Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes action for 3-year-olds headlining the June 12-14 week of racing in $20,000 elimination legs.
