Dover, DE — Majorca N took no prisoners and won the Mares Open Handicap Pace at Bally’s Dover on Wednesday night (Jan. 29).
Majorca N and Disturbed Hanover left together at the start of the race. Majorca N was breathing fire as Disturbed Hanover attempted to retake the lead but was rejected through a sizzling :27.1 opening panel. The cutthroat duel continued as Majorca N gave a parked Disturbed Hanover the cold shoulder. The two distaff mares stormed past the half in a punishing :54.4.
The front-end battle royale continued down the backstretch. Incaseyoudidntknow was towed into a second-over journey and then was forced to circle three-wide when Disturbed Hanover weakened before the three-quarter pole. Factory Girl watched the action from the pocket and awaited clearance late. Majorca N, the 8-5 favorite, reached the three-quarters in 1:23.4 before drawing off from the field in the stretch to win by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:51.4.

Factory Girl benefited from a pocket trip and finished second; Incaseyoudidntknow finished third.
Majorca N, who paid $5.20 to win, is owned by Michael Casalino Jr. and Dylan Davis Racing. Corey Callahan drove the Art Major mare for trainer Dylan Davis.
Tim Tetrick scored five driving victories.
