Mark Headworth wins nine races at Bowling Green, Ohio

Bowling Green, OH — The Wood County Fair in Bowling Green, Ohio, played host to an 11-race program on Tuesday night (July 30) with Mark Headworth steering nine of his ten mounts to the winner’s circle.

Headworth started off the evening by guiding Happy Go Jamie (His Highness-Party Doll) to a win in the 2-year-old colt trot. Headworth also trains the gelding and co-owns him with Steve Bateson. Happy Go Jamie toured the Bowling Green oval in 2:09.2.

Bill Webb’s Sam’s Silly Lilly (Nobleland Sam-Silly Lilly) took the first division of the 3-year-old filly pace in 2:03.3. Webb also trains the filly with Headworth picking up the winning catch-drive. The Webb stable also captured the other split with Lovintouchinfeelin (Feelin Friskie-Western Touch). Webb trains Lovintouchinfeelin and co-owns her with Denny Miller. Greg Bateson had the winning drive on the filly’s 2:05 mile.

Maudeenflat (Leblon Flat-Mrs Sizzle) was victorious in the 2-year-old filly trot. Emil Konesky pays the bills on the filly with Headworth being the trainer-driver. Maudeenflat completed her mile in 2:13.1.

Those same connections also had the win in the 3-year-old colt trot with Trottin On Over (Neely Dunn-Halle Coy). Trottin On Over’s winning time was 2:05.2.

Greg Straub piloted Easter Bay (Pine Valley-Naracoorte) home first in the 2-year-old colt pace. Becky Nichols is the colt’s trainer and also co-owns him with Curt Shoup. Easter Bay covered the Wood County Fair twice-around in 2:05.3.

Justlookatmymuscle (Iron Duke-Just Watch) found the winner’s circle in the 3-year-old filly trot after a mile in 2:10.1. Headworth drove the filly for Barbie and Cody Conner. Barbie Conner is also the trainer of Justlookatmymuscle.

Mean Fever (Indian Fever-Mean Geraldine) remained undefeated after six lifetime starts by winning the 2-year-old filly pace in 2:08.4. Bill Webb owns and trains the filly with Headworth picking up another winning drive.

The Webb stable picked up its fourth win of the night by taking the 3-year-old colt pace in 2:04.3 with Forever Kissed (Stand Forever-Western Kisser). Bill Webb and Denny Miller pick up the expenses on the gelding with Headworth getting his seventh win on the card.

Headworth ended the evening by taking the Free For All Trot with La’sent and the Free For All Pace with Blah Blah Blah. La’sent trotted her mile in 2:04.4 for owner-trainer Karen Tkaczyk. Tim Conkright trains Blah Blah Blah for owner Mike Brown. Blah Blah Blah’s winning time was 2:03.2.
