East Rutherford, NJ — On Friday night (May 30) under cloudy skies and a light sprinkle of rain, Roy Marohn and David Offenberg were victorious in the two GSY Amateur races that took place at the Meadowlands.

In the third race on the card, Dave Offenberg came three wide from the mid-pack to win in 1:57.4 by a neck. A hard charging Hardrockenjessica, driven by Monica Banca, finished second and Stephen Oldford got up for third aboard Ipo Blue Chip.

In the fourth race on the card and second amateur event, Roy Marohn made a three-wide move at the three-quarter pole and held on for a length victory in 1:56.4. B L Class Act, who was eighth at the top of the stretch and in a lot of traffic trouble, made a nice rally with Mike Mitchell in the bike to get up for second by a nose over Lad Pine, with Joe Lee in the bike.

The seventh leg of this series takes place next Saturday night (June 7) at Tioga Downs.
