Columbus, OH — Matching Funds Grant applications for fairs are due this Friday (April 29). Applications must be postmarked by April 29 if mailed, or submitted electronically by 11:59 p.m. on that date.

There is $10,000 available to assist fairs and horsemen’s associations with promoting their fairs. Applicable expenses are items such as newspaper, television, radio, bus and billboard advertising, open houses at a farm near the fairgrounds and placemats for local diners.

There is another $10,000 available to assist fairs and horsemen’s groups to purchase items to be given away during the races at their fairs. Groups must submit the invoice for the product under separate cover from the Matching Funds Grant application and they will be reimbursed for half of the cost, up to $1,000 per group. Reimbursement is available first come, first serve until the $10,000 budget is reached.
