Columbus, OH — The 2017 Matching Funds Grant Program applications are available online on the fairs section of the USTA website. Applications must be postmarked by May 1.

The Matching Funds Grant section offers the PDF application, examples of winning applications and a link to the promotions page to help fairs with marketing ideas.

The Matching Funds Grant program was started in 2006 to aid county fairs and horsemen’s associations to support a grassroots marketing initiative at the fair level. For advertising to be considered, at least 75 percent of the ad must be about harness racing.

The USTA will cover half, up to $1,000, of a fair’s marketing budget, if approved.
