Maven arrives in Sweden

by Karsten Bønsdorf, USTA Newsroom Senior Correspondent

On Monday afternoon (May 19), the Jonas Czernyson-trained Maven arrived at Erikssund Stable outside Stockholm, Sweden, after her long journey from the United States.

Maven was shipped from JFK in New York on Saturday afternoon and landed the next day in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Then she was taken by truck to Sweden where she arrived Monday afternoon.

Tuesday morning she was trained lightly and seems to have taken the long travel just fine. Her caretaker Caroline Mundin has been following her all the way.

Maven, with regular driver Yannick Gingras, will race from post position six in the first elimination on Sunday.
