Anderson, IN — The May 17 harness racing program at Harrah’s Hoosier Park will be broadcast live nationally on Fox Sports 2, joining the Meadowlands for its Arthur Cutler Memorial broadcast from 8-11 p.m.
The card, which will begin at 6:15 p.m., will focus on some of the best sophomores in Indiana as they prep for the Indiana Sires Stakes season. The Saturday card will feature both $25,000 finals of the Hal Dale and Go On BB series for Indiana-sired pacers who are non-winners of two races or $25,000 lifetime. Past champions of the Hal Dale include Sabonis and Always A Prince.
In addition to The Hal Dale, Harrah’s Hoosier Park will host $20,000 races for 3-year-olds eligible to the Indiana Sires Stakes. These races will serve as a prep for the Indiana Sires Stakes, which will kick off for all four 3-year-old divisions on a special Memorial Day (Monday, May 26) card.
Gabe Prewitt, vice president and general manager of racing at Hoosier Park, will co-host the Fox Sports broadcast live from Anderson, Ind., and be joined by the Meadowlands’ Jessica Otten, who will be reporting from East Rutherford, N.J.
Bettors will have $7,500 guarantees in both the early Pick-5 (races 1-5) and late Hoosier High-5 (last race) on the May 17 card. Free online programs are posted nightly on the Hoosier Park website along with tip sheets, race replays, and other handicapping resources.
