Washington, PA — Here is this week’s Meadows Monday Memo.
“TRIPLE CROWN” SCHEDULE THIS WEEK

TUESDAY QUALIFYING ACTION
Sippinonsearoc leads a talented group of horses scheduled to qualify at The Meadows on Tuesday morning. The record-setting pacer made his first start of the season on May 3 in the Hackett Memorial at Miami Valley, and is entered in the fourth qualifying race on Tuesday at The Meadows. No driver is listed on the Ron Burke trainee. A total of six races will begin at 11 a.m., with all action shown live on the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association Facebook page. Also qualifying will be top-level trotters John Dutton (Burke Stable), Good Feeln To Know (Rick Hercules Stable) and Longshot (Scott Cox Stable). All three are in the fifth qualifying race.
WEDNESDAY FEATURE
Wednesday afternoon’s card will feature the $18,000 Open Mares Pace, set as race five. Last week’s winner, Jillian B Miki, will leave from post one for driver (and co-owner) Ronnie Wrenn Jr. The morning line favorite is Racin Hungry, shipping in from Harrah’s Philadelphia after three straight wins in conditioned levels for the Joe Bongiorno Stable. Racin Hungry is listed at 7-5 for driver Dave Palone.
FRIDAY STAKES
Sophomore filly trotters will be featured on Friday afternoon at The Meadows, in the Meadow Bright 3-year-old PA Sire Stake. The card will also feature multiple divisions of the Stallion Series for 3-year-old filly trotters. The entry box for Friday closes on Tuesday morning.
