Friends and family gather in the winner’s circle after the Ronnie Guhy Memorial.

The 3-year-old colt fair stakes race on Monday (June 8) at Lacenter was named in his honor.

Ronnie trained world champion Chevie Duramax and many other stakes winners. He spent a lifetime in the harness racing industry.

Although in recent years he mainly competed in Illinois and Kentucky, he raced successfully at tracks throughout the country. Over the years, horses from his stables could be found decked out in red and winning at venues from county fairs to major stakes at the pari-mutuel racetracks.

Many thanks to all who contributed to the memorial.
