Memorial service on Feb. 20 for Bill Weaver

Columbus, OH — A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Bill Weaver at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center St., Freehold, N.J., on Feb. 20 at 2 p.m.

Mr. Weaver, 79, of Colts Neck, died Feb. 10, 2016, with his devoted family by his side.

Born in New York City, he grew up in Connecticut and graduated from Williams College in 1958. He then served in the U.S. Navy as an officer for four years.

Starting with a career in the banking industry, eventually his love of sports and animals led him to a personally fulfilling and successful career as owner/breeder of Valley High Stables.

He was the devoted husband of Judy for 55 years, and loving father of Bill (Christy), Lynn (John) Pebole and Meg (John) Harvey. He is also survived by his sister, Alita (Nathaniel) Reed; and grandchildren, Matt, Michelle, Jack, Luke, Bridget, Ben, Helen, Isobel and Gwen.
