Columbus, OH — Michael Joseph Kravchak, 47, a cherished soul known for his boundless generosity and infectious humor, died Sept. 5, 2024.
His vibrant personality and loving nature deeply touched all who had the pleasure of crossing his path throughout his 47 years of life.
Nicknamed ‘The White Russian,’ he was a driver/trainer at Scarborough Downs in the 2010s. He was well liked, always impeccably groomed, and willing to help out whenever he could. He made guest appearances as the track announcer at Scarborough and served as trackside MC during the 2012 Maine Sire Stakes finals. He made his last start as a driver in 2018 at Pocono.
Professionally, Mr. Kravchak took pride in his work with EXP Realty, where he was known as “Not Your Average Realtor.” His passion for the industry and his unique approach to real estate earned him numerous accolades, setting him apart as a respected figure among peers and clients alike. His innovative methods and unwavering commitment to service rendered him not only successful but beloved in his field.
Away from work, he was a man of many interests. A true Philly sports enthusiast, he never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams and shared a deep love for Alabama Crimson Tide football.
His faith played a central role in his life, guiding his actions and inspiring his extensive philanthropic work. His generous spirit was perhaps most evident in his joy of giving his time and resources, always aiming to make a difference in the lives of others.
Mr. Kravchak’s love for Disney was matched only by the joy he found in the company of his loved ones. His family was often by his side, experiencing the magic and creating memories that would last a lifetime.
He was also known for his passion for cinema, treasuring the experience of a good film, whether with someone or enjoying a solo viewing. The discipline with which he approached his physical health was evident to all who knew him, as he was a regular at the gym, dedicated to his fitness routine.
He is survived by his loving fiancée, Erika Delvalle; sons, Job and Jude Harrison; as well as Erika’s sons, Amar’e and Nico Tinsley, all of whom he adored. He was the cherished son of Joseph (the late Maureen, Cherie, Lisa, Deborah, Joseph) and he carried with him the spirit of his late mother, Betsy Klose. His life was further brightened by the close bond he shared with his sister, Dina Ferdman (Jason, Marissa, Zachary (Madison), Nicholas). He also leaves a lasting legacy with his extended family, including Frank Ripoli Jr., Richard Ripoli (Sonni), Gina Tuthill (Jimmy), the late Pete (Louise), Karen Cortese (Guy, Bryan, Andrew, Christian), Tricia Muff (Brandon), Nicole Ripoli-Rosato (Mackenzie, Elissa, Brianna, Adalyn), Leslie Ripoli (Yender, Cameron, Camila), and Ashley Barrera (Edio, Edison), who will continue to honor his legacy through stories and shared memories.
A gathering will be held Sept. 21 from 10-11 a.m. with a service to begin at 11 at the Wimberg Funeral, 211 E. Great Creek Rd., Galloway, NJ 08205.
