Millionaire Night Pro notches 75th career win

Northville, MI — Millionaire Night Pro captured the featured $14,000 Open 1 Pace on Saturday (April 23) at Northville Downs, notching his 75th career victory.

The 12-year-old son of Pro Bono Best, driven by his owner-trainer, Dale Decker, shook off an early challenge from Oh K Man (Marc St. Louis Jr.) through a :27.3 opening quarter and never looked back, scoring in wire-to-wire fashion in 1:54.1. The win pushed Night Pro’s career earnings to $1,034,304.

In the Open 2 Pace, Quality Closer and St. Louis recorded the fastest mile of the meet, winning in 1:53.1. It was the 46th career victory for the 10-year-old gelding, who trainer Mark Headworth owns with Christopher Knecht.

St. Louis had four winning drives on the night, while Headworth had a big night as well with a natural training triple on the card.

Live racing at Northville resumes next Friday (April 29) with a first race post time of 7:30 p.m. EDT.
