Mississippi Storm repeats in Dover Open

Dover, DE — Mississippi Storm won the $25,000 Open Trot at Bally’s Dover for the second consecutive week on Tuesday (Nov. 8).

Mississippi Storm and Crystal Fashion both left alertly from the gate. As opposed to last week, Crystal Fashion was the aggressor and Mississippi Storm accepted the pocket to stalk fractions of :27.2 and :56.1. HL Revadon brushed first-up on the backstretch with B Nicking catching cover, but both faded late after pushing three-quarters to 1:24.4. In the stretch, Crystal Fashion appeared to be home free, but Mississippi Storm unleashed a furious rush deep in the lane and won by three-quarters of a length in 1:53.2 as the 2-5 favorite. Crystal Fashion (Tim Tetrick) finished second; HL Revadon (Corey Callahan) was third.
