Monticello, NY — For the third time since March, Monticello Raceway Race Secretary Eric Warner has raised the purses at the Mighty M.
Both Open events now race for $9,300 and $15,000 claimers vie for $8,900.
Warner said, “We are hopeful with the increased purses that we can attract more horses. It is difficult at this time of the year with all the tracks now online and racing, hopefully this will equate to more entries in the box.”
