Monticello, NY — Beginning on October 3 and continuing throughout the month, Friday afternoons will be added to Monticello Raceway’s racing schedule.

With the addition of Fridays the track will have live harness action five days a week — Monday through Friday — and post times will remain at 1:10 p.m.

The Golden Storm GB Pacing Series gets underway on October 3 and will continue on consecutive Fridays in October and culminate with a $10,000 final on October 31.

The Golden Storm GB Series is named for the Mighty M track record holder who won 22 races during the 1985 season.

The opening leg has attracted 78 entrants. Four divisions will feature fillies and mares and seven splits are for horses and geldings. Each preliminary leg will be contested for a $4,000 purse.

At series end the pacers with the most points earned over the four weeks of prelims will be afforded the opportunity to race in the $10,000 final.
