Campbellville, ON — After his eye-catching victory in 1:48.4 to take his Pepsi North America Cup elimination, Captaintreacherous has been installed as the 2-1 morning line favorite to win this year’s Cup.
Trained by Tony Alagna and driven by Tim Tetrick, Captaintreacherous remains a perfect two-for-two this season.
The son of 2008 Cup winner Somebeachsomewhere banked $918,253 last year with victories in the Metro Pace, Woodrow Wilson and Nassagaweya Stakes, before being named the 2-year-old pacing colt of the year on both sides of the border.
The youngster has crafted a 10-1-1 record from 12 career starts for owners Captaintreacherous Racing.

Sportswriter, the 2010 Pepsi North America Cup winner, will be greeting fans at Mohawk this Saturday, Pepsi North America Cup night.
Trained by Casie Coleman, Sportswriter made headlines with his world record performance of 1:49.2 in the Metro Pace in 2009.
The son of Artsplace banked $1.56 million from 14 lifetime starts.
Sportswriter will be welcoming fans at the Mohawk main entrance from 5:30–8 p.m.
