Napolitano rolls a seven at Harrah’s Philadelphia

Chester, PA — George Napolitano Jr. was simply on fire Friday (Oct. 2) at Harrah’s Philadelphia, winning seven of the afternoon’s 14 races, including one of three co-featured events on the program.

In one of the two featured $11,200 races for developing trotters, Napolitano found room up the inside with Catwalk AS after being hemmed in, and the pair darted through to win by three lengths in 1:56.2. The 3-year-old Lionhunter filly, who won the Kentucky fair circuit title in her division, is trained by Anette Lorentzon for owners ACL Stuteri AB and Kjell Johansson.

The other featured trot saw the lightly-raced Baldaquin make a big three-wide move around the far turn before holding off an inside challenge from Sweet Heart AS by a half length to equal his lifetime mark of 1:56.1. Marcus Miller handled the 4-year-old Explosive Matter gelding for trainer Louise Pepin and owner Steven Bryden.

The pacing feature saw Buy In lead most of the mile and pace matching :56 halves en route to a 1:52 victory. Tony Morgan drove the 3-year-old Western Ideal colt for trainer Scott DiDomenico and the partnership of Triple D Stables and Tim Tetrick.

In the $10,000 fast-class pace, JJ Flynn pulled the pocket on the far turn before holding off the late bid of favorite Semi Tough by a neck in 1:51. Morgan drove the Western Ideal gelding for trainer Josh Green, who shares ownership with Rich Lombardo Racing and Charles Cochran III.
