SALEM, NH— Glen Mark Lucky, with Mark Beckwith in the bike, set a new track record for all ages and gaits at Rockingham Park on Saturday.
The six-year-old bay gelding covered the mile over a fast track in a swift 1:50.3 in the $12,000 invitational pace as the 4-5 favorite in the field of five. Glen Mark Lucky, who is trained by Geraldine Kearns and owned by F.A. Failkow and R. Pilatsky, has won two of his three starts at Rockingham during the current meet and four of his last six starts this year.
Glen Mark Lucky took one tick off the former track record of 1:50.4, which was set by aged pacing horse Oaks Enforcer here on August 9, 2003. The old record for aged pacing geldings was 1:51.1, which was established by Odysseus A on July 5th last year.
