New Jersey Equine Industry Summit just one week away

New Brunswick, NJ — The 2023 New Jersey Equine Industry Summit is just one week away, and the Equine Science Center is happy to announce some recent updates.

Taking place on Thursday (March 16) at the Cook Student Center in New Brunswick, the Summit is open to equine leaders, professionals, veterinarians, educators, owners, and enthusiasts throughout the tri-state area.

We are also excited to announce that the first 150 attendees to register for the Summit will receive a $10 voucher to Rick’s Saddle Shop, as well as a surprise gift card from the Equine Science Center. Vouchers and gift cards will only be given to the first 150 attendees to register, and you must be present at the Summit in order to receive your door prizes.

Speakers at this all-day event are noted experts, including keynote presenter Dr. Jill Stowe, professor and director of undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky, addressing the “Economic Analysis Of Equine Operations: Reducing Costs For Horse and Horse Farm Owners.”

Breakout sessions will focus on horse health, the future of racing, land use policy, environmental stewardship, the integrity of equestrian sport, and industry sustainability by engaging youth in equine activities and leadership roles. A just-completed needs assessment survey of industry participants will be a special feature of the program.

Admission is free of charge, and lunch will be provided. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and the event will start at 10 a.m.
