New York Equine Rescue Group Asks For Immediate Help

An equine rescue group is asking for help with a group of 26 Standardbreds that they must find homes for by September 28. The owner of the horses is having financial difficulties and cannot afford to board them. The horses are located in Orange County, New York, near Goshen and Monticello Raceways.
Coggins and health certificates on the horses available for adoption will be ready by Monday, interested parties will be responsible for the $45 vet charge. The Standardbred Retirement Foundation is taking eleven of the horses and three have already been adopted, but those still in need of a home are:
1. Ballycarney 16 y.o. Stallion
2. Bradash Blossom 14 y.o. mare, lump on side
3. Ironbound Chad 15 y.o. gelding
4. Molokai 8 y.o. mare, dropped hip
5. Reveille Sandra 20 y.o. mare, blind, sweet, great babysitter, took to foreign foal almost immediately
6. Scoundrel Hanover 8 y.o. gelding recently off track
7. Whose To Care – broodmare
8. Unregistered 4 y.o. filly – Molokai x Ballycarney
9. Unregistered 4 y.o. filly – Cajun Princess x Ballycarney
10.Unregistered 5 y.o. filly – Cajun Princess x Ballycarney
11.Unregistered 2 y.o. colt – Make A Deal x Whose To Care
12. “Tracer” unregistered trotting gelding, good looking and solid

The owner of the horses is willing to sign documents necessary to register horses # 8,9, 10 and 11.
