Plainville, MA — No Guts No Glory has not been beaten since coming to Plainridge Park and that trend continued on Friday (Nov. 14) when he won his third straight race in the $17,500 conditioned pace at The Ridge.

No Guts No Glory (Mitchell Cushing) sat third as heavily favored Th Kay C Crunch (Kevin Switzer Jr.) scooted to the half in :55.3. Positions remained unchanged heading up the backstretch until Liam’s Ace (Matty Athearn) left the pocket at three-quarters and was followed by No Guts No Glory into the last turn. As they entered the stretch, Liam’s Ace overtook Th Kay C Crunch for the lead, but then No Guts No Glory ran down Liam’s Ace just before the wire to win by 1-3/4 lengths in 1:53.2, which was a new lifetime mark.
No Guts No Glory ($25.20) is owned by KDK Standardbreds and trained by Kevin Switzer.
Bruce Ranger scored three wins to lead all drivers on Friday while trainer Michelle Lefebvre was the top trainer with two tallies.
Live racing will resume at Plainridge Park on Monday (Nov. 17) at 1 p.m. and there will be a $1,692 carryover in the Wicked Hi-5 pentafecta in the sixth race.
