Gaithersburg, MD — Do you know a professional horseman who has gone above and beyond what’s expected of him or her? Submit a 200-word-or-less essay nominating your favorite veterinarian, trainer, farrier or stable manager for the 2010 EQUUS Professional Horseman Award.

The 2010 EQUUS Professional Horseman of the Year will receive an award plaque, as well as a personalized, embroidered jacket. The winning nominator will win a Nelson automatic horse waterer and a case of Daily 72, an ionic liquid antioxidant for horses. Plus, eight additional nominators will each receive a gallon of Daily 72.

“Every horse owner knows how vital a caring veterinarian, farrier, trainer or stable manager can be to a horse’s health and happiness,” said Laurie Prinz, editor of EQUUS magazine. “With this award, we want to recognize those professionals who form the backbone of the horse industry.”
